Miller Lite To Partner With Riverhead Raceway For 29th Consecutive Season in 2013 by Bob Finan Riverhead Raceway promoters Barbara & Jim Cromarty announced today that Miller Lite would return for the 29th consecutive season as a marketing partner with the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Riverhead Raceway in 2013. Miller Lite and it's Long Island distributor Boening Brothers will serve as seasonal sponsor for the NASCAR Modifieds, Figure Eights and Demolition Derby classes as they have since 1985. "Our partnership with the the Cromarty's and all the racers and fans at Riverhead Raceway continues to grow even after four decades" Al Frazer director of marketing for Miller Lite and Boening Brothers boasted. "It's going to be another fantastic season of great short track family fun at Riverhead Raceway and we are proud to be a part of it" Al continued. "We of course are already looking forward to 2014 and our 30th Anniversary season" Frazer noted looking into the future. Three Miller Lite programs will be presented during the 2013 season at Riverhead Raceway with the first set for Saturday July 6th when the Cromarty's present the annual 4th of July Fireworks spectacular. A 4-Cylinder Demolition Derby and the annual Cromarty Cup 50 NASCAR Modified race will highlight the evening's NASCAR Whelen All-American Series card. Saturday August 10th Miller Lite will again host another "night at the races" with Megasaurus, a gigantic, fire-breathing and car eating monster headlining the race program that will also include another 4-Cylinder bone-jarring and car destroying Demolition Derby. Five great Whelen All-American Series classes will compete that night with the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models, Chargers, Super Pro Trucks and Legend Race Cars all in a action. The third and final Miller Lite program will come on Saturday September 28th when the $1,500 to win National Demolition Derby Championship is presented along with another great card of stock car racing for all classes except the NASCAR Modifieds and Legend Race Cars. Riverhead Raceway will again proudly serve Miller Lite for all events at the 63-year old quarter mile oval in 2013. Opening weekend is set for Saturday evening May 4th and Sunday afternoon May 5th.
