MONSTER TRUCK NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION TO WREAK HAVOC AT RIVERHEAD RACEWAY SATURDAY NIGHT JULY 14TH

The high flying, car crushing Monster Trucks of KSR Motorsports are ready to wreak havoc at Riverhead Raceway during the annual Monster Truck Night Of Destruction this Saturday July 14th. A full complement of NASCAR Whelen All American Series racing will be presented with the Late Models and Eagle Auto Mall Crate Modifieds taking center stage with the NASCAR Modified having their first off night of the season.
The Crate Modifieds will go to post in a 30 lap feature event with time trial qualifying to determine the starting grid. To date in 2018 the young driving stars have come into their own in the Crate Modifieds led by Michael Rutkoski of Mattituck who as of press time has won three times. Opening night winner Justin brown of Manorville will be another young gun to keep an eye on as will Artie Pedersen III of Center Moriches, both have won once this year. AJ DeSantis of Yaphank, Chris Rogers of Patchogue and Owen Grennan of Glen Cove are three other upstart drivers with the potential to win their first career race Saturday. Among the tested tough veterans out to keep the youngsters at bay will be Peter Bertuccio of Bohemia, Dennis Krupski of Calverton, Jack Orlando of Calverton, Scott Pedersen of Shirley, Michael Rommeney of Bohemia, Mike Albasini of Flushing and Terry Stiles of Rocky Point.
The Late Models return after a few weeks off led by defending champion and current point leader Kyle Soper of Manorville. Also competing in the 25-lap feature Saturday are Chris Turbush of Wading River, Jeremy McDermott of Riverhead, Chris McGuire of Selden, Ray Minieri of Bay Shore, Kevin Metzger of Massapequa, Scott Kulesa of Georgetown, Ma. and Ken Matlach of New Hyde Park.
Completing the racing portion of the program will be the Figure Eights, Blunderbusts, INEX Legend Race Cars, Mini Stocks and a Gut & Go Enduro.
Once racing is complete the Monster Trucks will take over the track in a "free style" competition. XDP, Zombie, Defender, Killerbee and Badnews will go toe to toe performing slap wheelies, cyclones and of course crushing cars flatter than your morning pancakes! The popular Monster Ride Truck will return offering fans a once in a lifetime thrill of taking a laps around the Riverhead Raceway property on the full blown Monster Truck. KSR Motorsports will also have merchandise tents on both ends of the track.
