$41,650 PURSE ANNOUNCED FOR 9TH ANNUAL ISLIP 300 NOVEMBER 15TH AT RIVERHEAD RACEWAY, $12,000 AWAITS WINNER

The Riverhead Raceway management team over the weekend announced via their social media platforms the posted purse for the 9th annual Islip 300 Tour Type Modified spectacular Saturday November 15th. Track owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz disclosed that $41,650 will be up for grabs during the 75-mile, 300-lap contest, with the winner pocketing a cool $12,000. Chase Grennan of Glen Cove is the defending race winner and will seek to become the first driver to win back-to-back Islip 300 events.
At just 17, Chase Grennan shocked the Tour Type Modified world when he withstood four restarts over the final 23-laps during the 2024 Islip 300 to score the upset victory in just his third start in a full blown Modified. So impressive was Chase's drive it prompted runner-up Dylan Slepian to note post-race, I have to hand it to Chase, he didn't put a wheel wrong all race". Proving his Islip 300 win last November was no fluke, Grennan would go on to win three signature NASCAR Modified events at Riverhead during 2025. Just hours after graduating high school on June 28th, Chase won the 75th Anniversary celebration "Flying Dutchman" 75 followed by victories in The Bubba 150 on August 2nd & the Cecil Palm Tree 66 September 13th.
The $12,000 winners share from the $41,650 purse Grennan took home last fall will await the 2025 Islip 300 winner November 15th. Second will pay $5,000, while third is worth $3,000, fourth $2,500 and fifth $2,000. Sixth through tenth pay, $1,500, $1,400, $1,300, $1,200 and $1,000. The 11th and 12 place teams will each earn $1,000, with 13th through 15th worth, $900, $850 and $750. The remainder of the payout based on 25 starters, 16th, $700, 17th, $650 while the 18th through 25th finishers each collect $600.
There has been just one repeat winner of the Islip 300 over the previous eight events with Ryan Preece of Berlin, Ct. winning the 2018 and 202 editions. While Grennan turned heads winning the 2024 Islip 300 at 17, Dillon Steuer of Bohemia stood the Modified world on its collective ear winning the inaugural 300 in 2016 at just 15. Other 300 winners are Kyle Soper of Manorville in 2019, JB Fortin of Holbrook in 2021, Anthony Nocella of Woburn, Ma. in 2022 and Matt Hirschman of Northampton, Pa. in 2023.
The Islip 300 is the fifth and final race of the 2015 Crown Jewel Series for the Ted Christopher Cup with Grennan leading those ranking by 6 over 2025 Riverhead Raceway NASCAR Modified champion John Beatty Jr. of Merrick. Dylan Slepian of Dix Hills and Kyle Ellwood are tied for third in the Crown Jewel standings, 12-point back of Grennan. Chase's older brother Owen sits fifth 14 points back.
