ALLAN PEDERSEN SET FOR CHECKERWON MOTORSPORTS TRIPLE DUTY AT RIVERHEAD RACEWAY IN 2025

Another ambitious schedule of racing awaits 25-year-old CheckerWon Motorsports driver Allan Pedersen at Riverhead Raceway in 2025. The Center Moriches based talent will race for both the Late Model and Figure Eight championships of the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series while running a part-time NASCAR Modified schedule centered around the Crown Jewel Series for the Ted Christopher Cup. The busy slate starts for Pedersen & CheckerWon Motorsports with the NASCAR Pack the Track Night program Saturday evening at 6:00 pm.
Artie Pedersen Jr., patriarch of the CheckerWon group revealed the team now owns the Late Model Allan will chase the 2025 title with. "During the off season I was able to put a deal together to purchase the Late Model that Allan started the season with in 2024" Arite disclosed. "We couldn't do this without great marketing partners like TJ'S Heros, Peter Lombardo Electric and out newest sponsor who we'd like to welcome, Cesspool Pros". Chasing the Late Model championship at Riverhead is a lofty goal for any team in the division with Jeremy McDermott of Riverhead aiming for his ninth career championship, to which Pedersen boasted, "if we can get some racing luck, we think we can give Jeremy a run".
Shifting to the NASCAR Modified, Artie, ever the proud papa offered the CheckerWon Motorsports game plan, "We'd like to race as often as we can, but with the funding we currently have our plan is to race the Crown Jewel Series events as they offer time trial qualifying. We're happy to have Superior Manufacturing, East End RV Center, Rico's Clothing and CheckerWon Manufacturing back with us on the Modified. CheckerWon Manufacturing is owned by Allan's brother Artie Pedersen III, as to Artie. 29 and his 2025 plans, "right now AP3 is so busy with his rapidly expanding business he has no plans of racing locally but might squeeze in a road trip or two for some Tour Type Modified racing", the elder Pedersen admitted.
Allan's third seat at Riverhead Raceway in 2025 comes in the Chris Elliott owned Figure Eight Chevy, a car he has driven with success over the past few seasons. Team owner Elliott revealed the team has added motivation entering the new season. "Our team is dedicating this year to Richie Gottfried of McBetts Racing Engines". Gottfried, a well-known engine builder passed away in January, "Richie gave and did so much for Figure Eight racing, we'll all miss him", Elliott furthered, "We'd like to thank Elite Towing, Baker Racing, United Exhaust Shop, Top Notch Performance and of course CheckerWon Motorsports for making all of this possible".
Allan Pedersen's busy 2025 campaign, as well the Riverhead Raceway calendar of events kicks off with the NASCAR Pack the Track card Saturday featuring seven NASCAR Advance Auto Parts divisions. The opening night also jump starts a season long celebration of the track's 75th Anniversary. Joining the NASCAR Modifieds (50), for the lid lifter are the Late Models (25), Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds (25), TK Figure Eights (15), Blunderbusts (20), Super Pro Trucks (20) and INEX Legend Race Cars (20).
Qualifying is set for 4:40 pm, followed by opening ceremonies at 6:00 pm. Spectator gates open at 4:00 pm, adults $30, kids 6-12 $15, 5 & under free.
