RAIN PUSHES WMT MILLER LITE SALUTES STEVE PARK 200 TO SUNDAY AFTERNOON

A coastal storm system dumping rain over the eastern half of Long Island Saturday forced NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour officials and Riverhead Raceway management to postpone the Miller Lite Salutes Steve Park 200 to Sunday afternoon, Father's Day. The WMT 200 is scheduled to go green at 2:30 PM, proceeded by practice and qualifying. Fortunately, despite the delay Steve Park will remain part of the festivities Sunday afternoon.
What is now a Father's Day WMT special will kick off with two practice sessions, 11:00 AM until 11:20 AM and again from 11:25 AM through 11:50 AM. Single car qualifying is set for 12 noon with the autograph session including Steve Park, takes place from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM in the third turn midway area of the track. The Super Pro Trucks, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and Eddie Partridge Vintage All Stars will have a 45-minute warm-up session starting at 10:00 AM. Qualifying for the local racers starts at 12:00 noon with their feature events presented at the conclusion of WMT qualifying and opening ceremonies.
